RIDE THE “RED HORSE” to LAGOON
Lagoon
Amusement Park
first opened on July 12, 1896, and is one of the premier amusement attractions in the West. From Rattlesnake Rapids to the newest addition Wicked, Lagoon offers a summer adventure like no other. Lagoon also boasts the only major wood coaster between Denver and California. At sixty feet high, and 2,500 feel long, originally built in 1921, and restored after a fire in 1953, it still is one of the most popular rides at Lagoon today. The ride lasts just under two minutes and the coaster train reaches speeds up to forty-five M.P.H.
Lagoon has eight roller coasters, three of which are unique; one of these being Colossus the Fire Dragon, which is one of only two remaining Schwarzkopf Double Looping coasters still in operation, and is the longest existing model. Lagoon is divided into five main areas: The Midway, containing a majority of the 48 rides, an assortment of carnival type games, live entertainment, and food outlets, Pioneer Village which has several exhibits displaying pioneer buildings and artifacts, Lagoon-A-Beach, a water park, Kid die Land with several rides for small children, and the X-Venture Zone featuring more extreme rides.
Lewis Tours operate a fleet of modern motor coaches and the friendliest staff for your comfort and enjoyment to Lagoon. For more information about Lagoon Group Charter Packages, please contact Lewis Tours!!
